SearchBom - Find Lost Devices
Bomtobe (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to protect users' personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related regulations, and to promptly and effectively address any related grievances.
Article 1 (Collection Items and Methods of Personal Information)
1. Required Collection Information
Bluetooth Device Scanning Data
- Collected Items: BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) signal strength (RSSI), advertising data, device name
- Location Data (Android only): Permission required by the Android system for Bluetooth device scanning
- Purpose: Detection and location tracking of nearby lost devices
- Processing: All scanning and signal processing is performed locally on the user's device. Location data is not collected, stored, or transmitted to any server

2. Optional Collection Information (Analytics)
Usage Statistics (Firebase Analytics)
- Anonymous interaction data (button clicks, screen views, session duration)
- Crash reports and performance data
- Purpose: App stability and user experience improvement
- Retention: Per Google Analytics data retention policy (default 14 months)
3. Collection Methods
Automatic generation and collection during service use, automatic device information collection

Article 3 (Principles of Personal Information Processing)
SearchBom is a privacy-first app:
- Device scan data is processed locally
- No account creation is required
- Personal information is not transmitted to external servers (except anonymous analytics)
Data Transmission
No User Data Transmitted - Personal information, scanned device lists, and location history are not transmitted to external servers. Only anonymous usage statistics are transmitted to Firebase Analytics for bug fixes.
Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
SearchBom does not share users' personal information with third parties.
However, the following cases are exceptions:
- When required by provisions of law
- When an investigative agency makes a request in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed by law for investigative purposes
Article 5 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing and Third-Party Services)

Deletion Rights
You may delete your data at any time using the following methods.
- In-App Deletion: Use the "Clear All" function in the History tab
- App Deletion: Deleting the app completely removes all local data
Article 7 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information)

- Right to Access: View scan history at any time within the app
- Right to Deletion: Immediately delete history via in-app button or app deletion
- Right to Suspend Processing: Data processing is immediately suspended upon closing the app or stopping a scan

SearchBom does not intentionally collect personal information from children. If you believe that information from a child has been inadvertently collected, please contact us immediately for deletion.

Article 13 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
This Privacy Policy is effective from the enforcement date. In the event of additions, deletions, or modifications due to changes in laws, policies, or security technologies, the changes shall be announced through the app at least 7 days prior to their effective date.
